aid process information
Colleges that received your SAR will review it to determine your financial aid qualifications.
If you have been accepted to the college, they will then send you their "Financial Award Letter" specifying the full cost of college, your estimated aid award amount, and the expected family contribution.
The award letter will list the amounts for scholarships, work study, government loans and any other financial aid. The difference between the full cost of college and the aid amounts awarded is the amount the family (student) is to pay.
